Plexiform
schwannoma is a rare benign peripheral nerve sheath
tumor, which affects predominantly young adults
and occurs as a slowly growing asymptomatic solitary
nodule on the trunk, head and neck, and upper extremities.
It arises superficially within the dermis or subcutis,
and shows the typical microscopic features of conventional
schwannomas, including Antoni A and B tissues. We
report a case of plexiform schwannoma in a 56-year-old
woman who had a asymmptomatic nodule on the forearm |
