Behcets
disease is characterized by four major symptom which includes oral and genital ulcer,
skin lesions, ocular lesions and minor symptoms which includes joint, cardiovascular,
gastrointestinal, neurologic, pulmonary symptom, etc. Venous thrombosis is a common
manifestation of vascular involvement in Behcets disease. The pathogenesis of thrombosis
is more related with vasculitis than clotting disorders. In Behcets disease, deep
vein thrombosis occurs more frequently in male patients when pathergy test is positive
and erythema nodosum is present. We report a case of deep vein thrombosis associated
with Behcet disease. |
