Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery is a specialized area within the dental hospital that provides surgical diagnosis and treatment for the internal organs such as tooth, periodontal structures, oral mucosal, and tongue, chin area of maxillary bone and Mandibular bone, and the facial area related to maxillary/lower jawbone. Since its first medical treatment in 1971, Kyung Hee Medical Center¡¯s Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery has been providing medical service temporomandibular clinic, maxillofacial defarmity clinic, implant clinic, maxillofacial cancer clinic, maxillofacial trauma, tooth extraction, speed orthodontics, bone distraction surgery, and maxillofacial infection. At Kyung Hee Medical Center¡¯s Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, 3 professors, 2 clinical lecturers and 11 residents are providing medical service and conducting research on their respective areas with the pride of being the leaders in maxillofacial surgery. Also, the number of admission patients and outpatients recorded 3,500 and 27,000, respectively, both of which are continuously increasing.
