1. Department of Anesthesia and Pain medicine   Kyung Hee Medical Center’s Department of Anesthesia and Pain medicine conducts anesthesia for safe surgery of the operation patients and treats the patients who suffer from painful diseases. It was established upon the opening of Kyung Hee Medical Center and currently consists of 40 medical staff including professors, residents, and nurses. Department of Anesthesia and Pain medicine provides solution to the risk factors in surgery operations by identifying the patients in medical aspect prior to the surgery and controls the status of patients at the highest level by coping with the changes occurred during the surgery due to the operation as well as other factors. The department also provides sustainable monitoring of the patient status after the operation until the patient recovers from the anesthesia in the recovery room. It operates not only the anesthesia for surgeries but also with the pain treatment clinic to diagnose the painful diseases caused by various reasons and treat many patients who suffer from painful diseases by using pharmacotherapy, physical therapy and nerve block. Besides such medical treatments, the department trains and cultivates human resources, and is dedicated to the study on more effective and stable anesthesia, test and development of new apparatus, and development of better pain treatments.   2.
