Department of Orthopedic Surgery treats the diseases in the organs related to maintain posture and physical movement such as vertebra, bones, joints, and muscles of legs and arms. The field of orthopedic surgery is mostly the diseases and trauma in the legs and arms or the body parts that constitute the physique. In other words, the department pursues to treat pathology, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases including vascular, spinal and peripheral nerve system malformation, deformation, inflammation, and metabolic disease, and the trauma symptoms including fracture, luxation, sprain,excoriation, and contusion. Also, the ultimate purpose of the department is to recover the locomotive organ dysfunction, which is closely connected with Rehabilitation medicine.
