In the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, an affiliated hospital of Kyung Hee University of Medicine, is staffed with 3 medical specialists including the professor Hee-Sang Kim who is director of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine(2004-present), vice-president of the Korean Academy of Sports Medicine(2006-present), director of the Korean Academy of Rheumatics Medicine(2004-present), chairman of Public Relations Committee of the Korean Academy of Clinical Geriatrics(2006-present), director of the Korean Academy of of Sports Medicine(2004-2006), chairman of the Korean Association of Pain Medicine(2004-2006), chairperson of Fund Raising Committee of 4th World Congress of the International Society of Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM2007, Seoul), chairman of Public Relations Committee of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine(2006-2008),chairman of medical Insurance Committee of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine(2004-2006), member of Board Examination Committee of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine and 2 other staff and 8 residents are striving for high quality rehabilitation treatment and research. 30 nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and EMG technicians completes the best team that realizes the incorporated rehabilitation treatment through regular team approach method with the patients and their guardians promoting the welfare and benefit of the medical staff by enhancing and diversifying the current cultural event.

They care for patients with acute and chronic pain, and musculoskeletal problems like back and neck pain, arthritis, tendinitis, pinched nerves and tension myalgia(MPS) and fibromyalgia.
They also treat people who experienced catastrophic events resulting in paraplegia, quadriplegia, or traumatic brain injury; and individuals who have had strokes, orthopedic injuries, or neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis, polio, or ALS. |
