As a result of the Nephropathy Center medicating the adrenocortico-tropic hormone (steroid) of Western medicine and SA-1 which is produced from Herb medicine together to the pediatric Nephrotic syndrome patients who have experienced more than 4 times of relapses a year, 90% of the patients were completely cured or benefited from the treatment.
As a result of clinical test, the efficacy was shown 35% and 70% if SA-1, the Korean medication and the steroid medication were used alone, respectively, while the simultaneous medication of SA-1 and steroid showed 90% of treatment effect. Alongside such synergy effect, the side effect and relapse rate were significantly reduced, SA-1 is known to greatly reduce the serious side effects (marrow function suppression, growth disorder, nephrotoxicity) of long term steroid intake. |
