Because these thoracic organs are critical in preserving the life, the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery is equipped with specialized technology, knowledge and the latest medical facilities.
The treatment fields are classified in to 4 major areas which are adult cardiac area that treats acquired valvular disease, Coronary heart disease, and oartic disease, youth cardiac area specialize in vascular surgery that treats congenital heart disease, and general thoracic area that treats the diseases in lung, gullet, mediastine, diaphragm, and organ.
Also, the department is conducting surgical operations that minimize the scar by using thoracoscopy. Hyperhidrosis clinic, artificial valvular heart clinic, and lung cancer clinic are operated as special clinics that provide patient training and counseling before and after the surgery.
