Department of Respiratory Medicine is an area that diagnoses and treats the diseases in respiratory organs such as bronchus, lung and pleura which surrounds the lung, and conducts research based on the clinical results. The Department of Respiratory Medicine treats 1) bronchial asthma and COPD, 2) pneumonia, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases, 3) lung fibrosis and interstitial lung disease. 4) Lung cancer and various malignant diseases that occur in respiratory organs through cooperative diagnosis with related departments.
Also, the department operates pulmonary function laboratory and bronchoscopy center which are essential in the diagnosis of respiratory diseases. The outpatient clinic has anti-smoking clinic, asthma clinic, chronic cough clinic, and other special clinics that provide effective treatment and intensive training for the COPD and asthma patients.
