The Department of Infection and Immune treats infectious diseases caused by bacteria including diarrhea, pneumonia, typhoid, cholera, meningitis, endocarditis, cystitis, and pyelonephritis or infectious disease caused by virus including measles and influenza. The department also treats the patients who received organ transplant operation, opportunitistic infectious diseases of the patients whose immune systems are deteriorated such as leukemia and cancer, and AIDS patients. Also, it monitors the correct use of antibiotics, controls the generation of hospital acquired infection, and provides specialized advises and consult regarding infection.
